The Professional Accreditation Institute for Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics (ASIIN e.V.) is a non-profit association founded in July 1999. Since its establishment, ASIIN has provided expert support for the implementation of certification programs at the professional and institutional levels for German and international universities. It holds a leading position both domestically and internationally in professional accreditation in the fields of engineering, natural sciences, mathematics, computer science, medicine and economics.
ASIIN has received support from an alliance composed of universities, departmental associations, technical and scientific societies, professional organizations, and business associations, all of which are dedicated to enhancing the quality of higher education. The ASIIN Industry Advisory Committee supports the formulation of requirements for professional practice in modern university education.
Within ASIIN, universities and the business sector collaborate on an equal footing to jointly establish internationally recognized quality standards; our discipline-specific standards are continuously developed and internationally coordinated through strategic partnerships with university faculties associations. ASIIN thus makes a decisive contribution to ensuring high educational standards and market transparency, while promoting academic and professional mobility both domestically and internationally.
ASIIN Consult GmbH was established in 2007 and is wholly owned by ASIIN e.V. It has been integrated into the overall organization of ASIIN and relies on its experience and expertise. ASIIN Consult expands the services of the association by offering certification agencies and continuing education programs, conducting evaluations, providing consulting services to universities, quality assurance institutions and government departments, as well as hosting seminars and organizing conferences. Additionally, it participates in the development of global universities and education systems.
